Impoverished children are the weakest members of our society and depend on our support. Therefore HSH supports the pre-primary school iThemba.

Situated in the impoverished area of Capricorn 20 km outside of Cape Town iThemba brings hope to many children who's parents are unable to pay for education and provide regular meals preparing for Primary Education.

The school provides a safe and creative learning environment, where children can flourish and develop to their full potential. Emphasis is placed on numeracy, literacy and healthy nutrition. The classes are taught in English to equip the young learners for the ongoing South African school system, because the children mainly speak their home languages of Xhosa and Afrikaans.
